Welcome to the Badlands - Halsey || Concerts

Halsey. Two years ago, when I saw the first Ghost video, I didn't think I'd ever see her live, I never thought she'd have so many fans. When her Europe tour was announced last year I saw she was coming to Barcelona, her only date in Spain. Now, THAT, my friends, is what I call being lucky; because if she hadn't come here, I'm sure I would not be writing this right now. My friends and I got tickets but I could've never imagined it'd be a SOLD OUT show. That's insane. She brought together so many people from different parts of the country and that is incredible.

So after months and months of waiting, the day finally arrived. I'd finally see her live.  I was so excited, probably the best Monday of my life. Even if I had an exam to take that morning lol
I'm not gonna bore you much with how the pre-show hours went. It's just hours of queuing and sitting on the floor. Dying because it was so cold, the eternal struggle of winter concerts!!

Moments before going inside, the nerves were real. I still couldn't believe it. We were relatively close to the stage, right in the middle. I mean we were far but not that far. The only bad thing is the fact that, as I have said multiple times, I'm so freaking small and everyone is taller than me so yeah I was on my tiptoes most of the night.

The support act was BØRNS. Loved the performance. I had heard the songs before but I have absolutely no idea where, weird, I know. And now I've been listening to him a lot, haha So go check him out!
Then it was time for Halsey. I love the energy she brings on stage and the power of her songs. Everyone sang/shouted ALL the lyrics so damn loud. This is what I love about concerts. Everyone feels the lyrics as their own, everyone has a favourite song (or a few) and they scream their lungs out to that one song that means the most to them. For me, it's Gasoline and Control.

She practically sang the whole Badlands album and a few songs from her EP: Room 93.
She started with Gasoline and finished with Young God which are two of my favourites. And at the end of Young God it was just us and her singing.

Castle was absolutely incredible. Ghost was amazing to hear live. Colors was magical, it was the 'project' moment aka we had papers saying 'because purple is for us' there's this part of the song that goes: you were red and you liked me 'cause I was blue, you touched me and suddenly I was a lilac sky, but you decided purple just wasn't for you' so that's why our papers had that. New Americana was great too. Control was freaking perfect, another favourite of mine. Hurricane, Is There Somewhere, Drive, Haunting, Roman Holiday, Strange Love also brilliant. I mean what can I say, I love them all so much.

Another thing I loved so much were the visual effects on the big screens, they were so beautiful and in sync with the music. She thanked us so many times, told us we were everything to her and that it was insane to be in Barcelona playing for 3000 people. Another thing she said in one of her speeches that stuck with me is this: 'Barcelona, remember, you don't belong to anybody but yourself'. I want you all to remember this too.
Seriously, if you ever have the chance to see Halsey live, go. You won't regret it. And if you don't listen to her, please give her a chance.

Do you listen to Halsey? Have you seen her live?
