10 Good Things

Friday, 9 June 2017

Okay so it's been a while since I last wrote one of these; I missed the April and the May one. So, I've decided to finally sit down and write one. Guess it can be sort of a recap/update on what I've done/what's happened in those two months, in case you were wondering.
1. Amsterdam - Vidcon. Okay, I've mentioned this a thousand times but that trip just made me so happy and I will never shut up about it and I'll probably won't stop posting pictures on Instagram either. You can read all about my trip in my previous posts: day one, day two, vidcon, photo diary.

2. I started to work out regularly (sort of) and I've been feeling a lot better about myself and I'm also more comfortable with my body and how I look. I'm also being a bit more adventurous with my style and I'm actually so happy about it.

3. Going out more. I've been hanging out more with friends in Barcelona and it does wonders to my mental health. Like even if when I get back home I need my time alone to rest. Just spending a few hours with friends makes me so damn happy and I'm so glad I've been saying yes to going out. By going out I don't mean clubbing, just walking around the city and going to McDonalds and shopping and all that.

4. Eurovision. The highlight of the year. Ok, I'm kidding but I truly love Eurovision, it's so fun to watch, if you're European you understand. We go crazy on Eurovision night.

5.  Book mail. Just getting any kind of mail gets me excited because I never get anything but getting books just tops everything. Especially because I had forgotten I had bought them and when they arrived I couldn't stop smiling.
6. Finishing exams and uni. Honestly, after over a month full of exams and assignments it felt so damn great to hand in that final exam.

7. One Love Manchester concert. I obviously wasn't there but that was truly a wonderful and I'm glad I got to experience it with so many people around the world. Ariana Grande organised this whole thing and I admire her so much for what she did, not everyone would've done that. I was an emotional wreck during the whole show but the whole thing was so inspiring and it made me happy to see so many people united through music for a good cause, this shows that love will always win.

8.  All Time Low, The Maine, Neck Deep and Harry Styles announced tour dates and they're all coming to Barcelona!!! Your girl is gonna be so broke but EXTREMELY happy so who cares right? Actually, my bank account does but oh well.

9. I'm slowly getting back into reading. All thanks to Harry Potter and bookstagram. I just needed some motivation to start reading and the bookish side of Instagram is really inspiring and encouraging, lovely people with beautiful book photography.

10. I finally watched and listened to Dear Evan Hansen and I can say it's one of the best musicals I've ever seen. It represents social anxiety so well and the songs are great too and they're written beautifully. Also, the cast is fantastic, I hope Ben Platt wins a Tony Award this weekend. He truly deserves it. In case you don't know what it is about I'll link you to their website because let's be honest, they explain it better than me. If you've seen it please message me and let's talk about it. If you haven't seen it or listened to it, please do. I think my favourite song is Waving Through A Window because I relate to it the most but the rest of the soundtrack is just as great. You Will Be Found is another favourite of mine. Most of the songs are sad but also comforting and inspiring at the same time.

Tell me three things that have made you happy lately!

  1. EUROVISION IS THE BABE! It's very fun to watch and read comments about. Also, I'm a bit sad that I won't be able to see Harry Styles live as he's not coming to my country and I'm not sure if I can plan a trip to another country for 2018 as of right now. Uni and all that jazz :/
